BUILDING SUSTAINABLE SKIN: What to eat, what to apply, what to practice.

BUILDING SUSTAINABLE SKIN: What to eat, what to apply, what to practice.

Natural beauty is in. And it starts from within. We visited our local Beauty + Wellness shop Lilikoi Luxe last week and got inspired all over again to take even better care of our skin by way of what we eat, think, practice, and (of course) apply.

It feels better, and cheaper, to knock two birds out with one stone and incorporate your anti-aging efforts into what you're eating and practicing within your wellness regimen on the daily. Why not eat for pleasure, power, AND beauty? Why not lather creams and oils over your skin for moisture AND retaining youth. Why not practice mindfulness to stay grounded AND give your cells a break to repair?

Here's our quick tribute to building sustainable skin, in 4 simple steps.

  1. EAT Pearl | Not only to brighten the complexion, but to boost collagen production and tighten fine lines, wrinkles, and reduce scarring. We love getting our Pearl in with a nightly ritual of strawberries dunked in Chocolate Pearl Drip.
  2. APPLY Vetivert | We love adding a few drops of Vetiver oil to our homemade body oils or even mixed with some avocado oil and applying to the chest and breasts for deep, rooted, grounding moisture. Or we can't get enough of In Fiore Vetivert body balm.
  3. PRACTICE your breathwork | It has never been so important to breathe deeply than it is now. Before you leave your bed each morning, start your pranayamic day right with 10-15 deep breaths (ujjayi for brownie points) and a simple mantra - a word - that you will infuse into your day.

Your skin responds to the state of your mind.
