Why do you workout?
Working out for me supports my surfing performance and enhances my wellbeing. I feel stronger and more grounded, mentally and physically. Also its really fun and inspiring to learn and understand how the body works and how I can influence it in such a dynamic way!
What's your fitness routine look like these days?
I love to do a good variety of things to change it up, mostly outdoors in nature as well as some intricate training using resistance bands, TRX, medicine balls and standing on the big yoga ball for balance and quick muscle twitch nervous system response. In nature I swim and free dive in the open ocean, run in deep sand, ride my mountain bike through the mountains and coastal trails, and hiking in the mountains. .
What's your go-to snack before a workout?
I like making a smoothie with macadamia nuts, Laka’s Super Shroom Dip, mixed berry’s, banana, pre-biotic, greens, Turmeric, Maca, hemp-seeds, and Coconut milk.
What's your go-to snack after a workout?
I’m not a big snacker..I like to drink a big glass of water after workout and then eat a whole meal with sweet potato, vegetables, avocado, salmon, and some pickled cabbage or something pre-biotic based.
What adaptogen do you consume daily?
Turmeric, Maca, and really any of the Laka Drip’s are great! Easy to just eat a couple spoons full, spread or put in a smoothie.
Favorite way to sneak adaptogens into your daily diet?
Easy to just eat a couple spoons fulls, spread or put in a smoothie. Also as a hot drink with a mushroom tea is great as well.
Biggest difference you notice when you workout?
I feel more stabilized in my energy
